The köfte is one of the most popular foods in Turkey, balls are usually made with minced meat and spices. Sometimes the meat is mixed with rice or bulgur, vegetables with the CEBOLLAS. Sometimes the meat is replaced by minced fish or vegetables. They are usually served with very spicy sauces and the fact is that the variety is huge.
Then I give the recipe köfte tomato or tomato meatballs.
– 4 large tomatoes.
– 1 onion.
– Parsley, dill, mint and basil, if fresh best, if you can not use dried spices.
– 1 egg.
– 6 tomates secos.
– Flour (2 Mugs).
– 1 on yeast.
– Salt, a pinch of sugar, a pinch of cinnamon and black pepper.
– Sunflower oil.
Directions:
Peel the tomatoes and cut into cubes. We took the liquid which have shed, is best to use a colander.
Grate the onion with the thickest part of the grater.
Mix chopped tomatoes with onion.
Add the dill, parsley, basil and mint and chopped. We remove all well.
Chop the dried tomatoes and add to the mix.
Now let throwing at the same meal, yeast, will, a pinch of sugar, a little cinnamon and black pepper. Mix well all.
Helping with a spoon mix'll take and make a kind of ball, we spend beaten egg.
We heat the oil in a pan and when it is hot'll be bringing you one by one the meatballs I've been through the egg. When they are browned on one side and, give them over and let the other side is also golden brown. Remove and place in a dish with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
